Sarah Smith hails from the Garden State of New Jersey, where her acting/modeling career began with a small agency at the age of 15. She soon made her television debut on the Discovery Channel's New Detectives series. Her film career was up and running shortly thereafter, when she appeared as a Fellini Model in the Aria Pictures Murder Club trailer. Several pay-your-dues jobs later, Sarah packed her bags and headed to the Big Apple to try her luck. It was there that she earned a BA from New York University and signed with Wilhelmina Creative Management for a two year stint. During that time, Sarah performed in many NYU Films, MTV promos, a Whitney Houston video, and was booked as a model on Live with Regis. She also played the part of a future girl in Albert Mainstream's New York Adventure, which is still being featured in many film festivals. Through it all, Sarah's first love has always been comedy. She cherishes the year she spent working behind the scenes at Saturday Night Live.
In addition to performing stand-up at the world-renowned Caroline's Comedy Club, Sarah's comedic education also includes many hours of improvisation at the Second City Training Center. A journalist by trade, Miss Smith has spent many early mornings (cup of coffee in hand) at the local 24 hour news station NY1. She has also made an appearance on Wall Street, working as a financial news anchor for Wall Street Interactive TV. When Sarah wasn't commenting on the latest stocks, she was hosting an extreme sports show called Overtime with Sarah Smith, which gave her the chance to let her hair down and take on insane new challenges, such as skydiving.
